How to access the project
Local residents can access Crutch Haringey's services by means of self referral via the project's two Drop In Sessions, these sessions take place at Citizens Advice Haringey on Monday and Friday between 10am and 3pm. Outside of these times there is no guarantee that someone will be available to see you.
Upon arrival inform reception that you are there to see a member of the Crutch Haringey team.
If you are unable to attend one of the Drop In Sessions then we advise that you call the project office on 0203 872 5858 to book an appointment to come in and meet with one of our Project Support Officers or Support Volunteers.
If you are an existing service user at another support service in the borough then your key worker can also refer you in to the project, this can be done via the phone on 0203 872 5858 or via email
How we can support you
Many clients first point of contact with the project is for an Emergency Food Bag, these bags will last a single person for approximately 2 days and are issued in Emergency circumstances.
The project team upon meeting you will discuss your needs and will then look at how best to support you, we try to ensure that each client receives a form of support that is relevant to their most pressing needs.
Areas that we have supported in the past include; referrals to employment support agencies, access to charity grants to replace household items, signposting to other food provisions in the borough, access to Winter Shelters (for those who are street homeless), referrals to Drug and Alcohol support agencies.
